Devi Temple

Why Bhairavi Sadhana?

Bhairavi Sadhana is an opportunity to bring forth devotion from within. Whatever one’s aspirations may be – health, wealth, knowledge or transcendence – Devi is the Ultimate Giver of all that and more.

What is Linga Bhairavi?

A nurturing embrace of the Mother Divine. The form is of a solidified mercury linga with penetrating eyes, a compassionate expression, and an enormous Presence! An energy form through which you can cultivate higher states of consciousness and intelligence into your life. The word linga means “the form.” We are calling it “the form” because when the un-manifest began to manifest itself, or in other words when creation began to happen, the first form that it took was that of an ellipsoid. A perfect ellipsoid is what we call as a linga. The form of a linga is a hole in the fabric of creation. Creation always started as an ellipsoid or a linga, and then became many things.

One who is in the presence of such energy neither has to live in concern or fear of life or death, of poverty, or of failure. All that a human being considers as wellbeing they will receive. Physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing, as well as a healthy, successful, and prosperous life will be a natural outcome for oneself & one’s family.

Devi is a manifestation of the three-and-a-half chakras in the human system which correlate to one’s health, wellbeing, stability and prosperity.

What is the Sadhana process?

Every morning at 9am, there will be a ceremony in the Salt Cave Temple that is open to anyone that wishes to join. There is a $25 monthly charge for unlimited visits. The ceremony includes:
  • Arati
  • A fire offering to Devi and a possibility to make oneself available to her Grace
  •
  • Abhaya Sutra
  • A specially consecrated thread, which, when tied around one’s wrist, is supportive in fulfilling one’s ambitions and removing fear.
  •
  • Devi Stuthi
  • A consecrated mantra that describes the 33 qualities of the Devi in English. When chanted with a certain reverence, it is a way of becoming open to her Grace.
  •
  • Meditation
  • Sounds of Isha

WHy is it referred to as a temple?

What you call a temple is like putting a hole in the fabric, creating a space where the physical becomes thin, and something beyond becomes visible to you. This science of making the physical less manifest is the science of consecration, so that dimension beyond the physical becomes apparent or visible to you if you are willing. When there is a consecrated space, that means there is a powerful energy which has the possibility of transforming you. It experientially reminds you that there is much more to life than you think.

Every substance on the planet exudes a certain kind of energy, scientific fact… What type of energy it exudes, you can change that. Altering that to a very subtle and useful form of energy is a consecration process. It is making different forms into different types of energies, which then radiates that life force within the atmosphere. The items on the altar were all consecrated by a living master, Sadhguru of Isha Foundation, creating for us a living temple!

Are there any other benefits?

Adiyogi (Shiva) Statue

This statue is consecrated to create certain reverberation.! It is a powerful reminder of the higher possibilities within a human being and helps orient oneself towards that goal, a potent meditative support. The word “Shiva” literally means “that which is not.” That means nothing. Nothing is a very negative word. You would understand it better if you put a hyphen in between: no-thing. That which is, is physical manifestation. “That which is not” is that which is beyond the physical.

The very nature of human perception is such that whatever a human being is involved with right now, will be the only truth for him in his experience. Right now, most people are involved with the five sense organs and that seems to be the only truth, nothing else. Sense organs can only perceive that which is physical, and because your perception is limited to the five sense organs, everything that you know as life is only physicality: your body, your mind, your emotion and your life energies are physical. So the reverberations of this form is to help you to reach transcendental consciousness!

dhyanalinga yantra

This consecrated form is also a powerful support for mediation. It creates the possibility of deep inner transformation for every human being who comes in touch with it, a doorway to enlightenment and spiritual liberation. Mantras are sounds that are emerging from the level of totality, unified field. Yantras are their corresponding form.

The basic thrust of the energies of the Dhyanalinga is to foster spiritual growth and evolution of a person. These unique copper yantras are energized with qualities of seven spiritual chakras and will radiate different qualities on each day of the week.
