WHO WE ARE

LUNA FLOAT SPA IS A PREMIER RELAXATION DESTINATION

A SERENE, REFRESHING EXPERIENCE FOR REJUVENATION OF MIND AND BODY

Floating is an experience where you enter into a float pod (also called a sensory deprivation tank or isolation tank), which is a well-engineered tub filled with 10-12 inches of water and about 1100 pounds of Epsom salt.

The tank is insulated to reduce light and sound, while simultaneously keeping the water heated to your skin temperature. When the water settles, you remain relaxed and still, allowing your body to float effortlessly while reducing stress and tension.

How does floating reduce stress and rejuvenate me?

Floating is commonly referred to as the art of doing nothing. When you float, you are able to escape to a place free from stressful external stimuli. We all know the symptoms of stress: chronic fatigue, trouble sleeping, and anxiety, to name a few. Medical science is becoming increasingly aware of the negative physical effects that stress can have on our bodies.

Although we can’t eliminate stress entirely, we can greatly reduce it — through floating. In an environment where the threat of stress is minimal, your body slows down, the flow of negative chemicals and hormones is reduced, and your body chemistry is able to reset. Proven through scientific research, floating works to reduce stress in many ways:

1. Floating alleviates the daily effects of gravity.

Although you might not think of gravity as a stressor, we commonly feel these effects in negative ways. Gravity puts a major strain on the Central Nervous System. Those effects are then translated as the many aches and pains we commonly feel. When you float, you are in a zero gravity- like environment and your body is relieved of the effects of gravity, finally giving your body the rest in needs.

2. Floating positively supports the brain

by giving you a real vacation from everyday worries and concerns, inducing a meditative state that continues to generate relaxed energy even after you’ve left the tank and returned to your daily life.

3. Floating increases oxygen and endorphins

which helps muscles recover more quickly, helps you get a better nights sleep, and much more.

About Courtney Thomas

OWNER

Hello my name is Courtney Thomas, also known as Ketu in the health and wellness community. I’m currently in the last year of my degree program, studying AyurVeda and Integrative Health with a specialization in developing consciousness and human potential. Utilizing vibrational and frequency technologies my primary focus is on assisting clients in clearing any obstructions from their subtle energy channels and restoring the flow of consciousness or information/intelligence. From there, I focus on balancing the energy systems of the body, restoring the energy reservoirs to full capacity and refining the nervous system. I believe that a prevention-oriented system of medicine that addresses not only the body, but also the mind and environment of the individual is detrimental in today’s society. So I made it my mission to provide holistic health solutions!

While western medicines forte is addressing the symptoms once they are most severe and can even be potentially life-threatening, AyurVeda’s strength is recognizing imbalances at their beginning stages and preventing it from progressing further. AyurVeda is distinct in that it focuses on harmonizing the unique constitution of an individual with the natural rhythms of nature. We utilize things such as diet and nutrition, daily lifestyle routines, herbal remedies and other time-tested therapies, free from harmful side effects might I add, that help bring the elements back into balance within the body to create total wellness. I simply re-establish balance between the body and its own inner intelligence to assist the body’s self-corrective, natural defense mechanisms.

This health spa, Luna Float, further compliments this 5,000 year old Vedic tradition, using the leading equipment and technologies in the sports and wellness industry to assist in the purification and rejuvenation on a cellular level. I’m truly looking forward to integrating this consciousness-based approach to healthcare into our mixed modality wellness spa. Some additional modalities that he looks to add into the spa are Maharishi Light Therapy with Gems, Maharishi Aromatherapy, Maharishi Yoga Asanas and Transcendental Meditation. Here at Luna Float, self care is not a luxury, it’s a priority.

About Arielle Thomas

OWNER

I am Arielle Thomas and I’m so excited to be a part of your wellness journey. I was not only intrigued by the modalities in which my husband has pursued but I have always been inspired to follow the lifestyle myself. Through the practice of living a more AyurVedic lifestyle I have altered my perspective on life and have applied more emphasis on personal health and wellness. I have developed a deep interest in improving my wellbeing at home by creating a safe and clean environment. There are so many ways to practice sustainability!

Professionally, I am a real estate agent locally in Colorado Springs with a passion to help people become homeowners and gain their financial independence. I love what I do and I appreciate all the features a home offers! Specifically my greatest passion is to consult and educate homeowners about adding green home features to improve their health environment while sustaining cost savings. I’m one of the few designated green home advisors here and I am still constantly expanding my education around sustainability. My current pursuit is to earn my Master’s Degree in Sustainable Business in which to learn all that I can about sustainable building features, non-toxic building materials, eco-efficiency, and renewable energy technologies for off-grid communities.

AyurVeda not only addresses mind/body, but also the environment of the individual. A sister science closely aligned with the principles of AyurVedic medicine and Vedic astrology is Sthapatya Veda. Another term for this is Vāstu, which focuses on aligning our homes, work spaces and communities with the natural energies of the universe. This is an architectural system that establishes a person and a building, which is an extension of ones physiology. There is a grid system on the surface of the earth and when a structure is placed, it should be in harmony with this invisible grid. (Magnetic Field) My intention is to spread awareness about Vāstu homes with the ambition to develop entire communities of homes and businesses in perfect alignment with the laws of Nature. This goal includes net-zero homes from renewable energy, reduced waste, and community farming. Through our real estate investments company, Noah’s Ark Investments, we can consult and educate you in creating the most harmonious environment for you and your loved ones! If this type of architectural design intrigues you, be sure to speak with Courtney about it during your AyurVedic consultations and he will connect you with me.
